The solution

Be Energy responds to these challenges in two ways. First of all, Be Energy regenerates batteries, oils and motors, thus doubling their lifespan and fighting against the programmed obsolescence of sometimes critical materials with high CO2 impact. Moreover, their recycling solutions, when possible, drastically reduce the carbon emissions of the objects at the end of their life.

The issue

In Europe alone, we will have to recycle 700,000t of electric batteries per year! The volumes are currently equivalent for thermal batteries. These complex objects are both an assembly of dangerous products and a formidable well of reusable resources, provided we have the means to do so, by setting up an efficient recycling subsidiary.

Unicity

All Be Energy carbon credits are only available on Riverse registry. The carbon credits covers all the activities of Be Energy.

Measurability & reality

Be Energy carbon avoidances are calculated with a cradle-to-grave comparative lifecycle analysis, on "global warming" criteria, following ISO 14067 norm.
All carbon credits currenly available are ex-post, meaning the carbon avoidances have already been verified and thus are real.

Additionnality

Currently, alternatives to Be Energy are 5 times more carbon-intensive but far cheaper. Carbon credits help to scale the process to be more competitive, respecting the financial additionnality criteria.
There is no regulation making Be Energy very efficient regeneration process compulsory, respecting the regulation additionnality criteria.

Permanence

Carbon avoidances are not concerned by permanence criteria as avoidance are effective immediately without reversibility.

Rebound effects

Be Energy is aligned with the European Taxonomy and do not harm any of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Avoidance of leakage is also taken into account during the certification process.
